This gold-finished pin shows Maleficent from the neck up, turned slightly left. Both of her eyes are looking forward and with a slight smile on her face.
Diablo, her pet raven, can be seen in profile in the upper right corner, frowning, with left wing partially extended.
This might be considered an error pin as Diablo, known to have all black feathers, looks to to be, except for his face, colored with the same shade of purple as the background of the pin. This technique of showing no demarcation between an object and its background has often been called a ‘fade away’.
